The Fifth Raspberry

Dear Friends,

There’s a lot lot of a lot lot going on right now.

I was out in the garden a few days ago and I noticed that there were 5 ripe raspberries still waiting to be picked and eaten. Without much thought, I popped them into my mouth. They were so sweet and I instantly regretted that I hadn’t savored them. It is so easy to thoughtlessly skip the good stuff. I decided to take a moment and share with you my top 5 savorable experiences this fall:

Advancing in Athens Forward

After a long and challenging process the Local Planning Committee in Athens advanced 10 projects to the state for the final allocation of the 4.5 million dollar New York Forward grant. Because of you, because of the support of the Village and because of several angels who submitted estimates, read proposals, gave advice, filled out letters of support, and sent good wishes this way, WE MADE IT! The Tenth House Health proposal continues on its journey and has a chance, fingers crossed to receive an award.

Closing in on a Full Book

Many of you have noticed that my schedule in Athens is filling up and filling in. That has been a direct result of all of you communicating about Tenth House Health, craniosacral therapy, the positive experiences you’ve had, and the friendships you’ve built. I’ve started to see crossover between my upstate and NYC work which is an even bigger expression of how much your words matter. I am meeting that moment with gratitude and encourage everyone to book ahead!

Workshop-palooza

Our first healer::practitioner gathering was so lovely. If you follow me on IG @tenthhousehealth, Kelley did a beautiful round up of the event. We also have a series of workshops starting tomorrow with Voice Matters on October 26 (there are spaces left to join us!), Gravity and Grace on November 9, and Could Conflict be Loving? on December 6. It has been so great to be in presence with our community. We love to see you, nourish you, and get to know you.

BOMT—3rd Module in the Can

I have officially completed 3 modules of the Biodynamic Osteopathic Manual Therapy program. It’s a two year mentorship with Carey Benenson with seasoned practitioners from all over the country. I have already found so many gems, so much wisdom, and deep interconnections with the material. I have set aside 2 sessions a week on Wednesdays and Fridays at 12 to hone this material. If this intrigues you at all, the sessions are by donation and can be book here at the The Practice Partnership. It’s a great way to connect with me and experience BOMT.

Getting myself back into the community—HVWIB, IG, letters, and fun

I hope you’ve also noticed that I’m trying to get back to my in person and digital connections. I had a wonderful beach day with Cadence Dubus @brooklynstrength. She’s a powerhouse and a dear friend. I also attended Holly Shelowitz’s talk at the Hudson Valley Women in Business meeting on Menopause. Holly is a Certified Nutrition Counselor, Menopause Coach, Culinary Educator and Aromatherapist who will be doing a workshop at Tenth House next year. And of course, there’s this letter (love) and IG (less love), and spending time at other centers like Miscellany Greene for Sound Healing with its founder Wendy Van Lare, spaces like Massage Beyond and my beloved colleague Rich Mhlanga, and events at Citiot in Catskill and beyond.

As hard as it can be sometimes, I find moments to hydrate, appreciate, and share the kindness we all want and deserve. Thinking of you all, miss you all! Would love to hear about your last 5 raspberries before the frost takes hold.

With folded palms,

Jennifer
